Sponge Technique

The common kitchen sponge or bath sponge can be used to stamp, too, besides for washing dishes. You mean that is what a sponge is for? Housework? Not in a crafter's house.

You can use the sponge to ink edges of cardstock, sponge stencils ( from the negative image of die-cuts ), ink items that need a hint of color, etc. Sponges have lots of nooks and crannies that help give the stamped images the rustic look.

Check out the Dollar Store next time for those shower sponges.

I cut up a large shower sponge. I got over 40 pieces. Notice the texture of the sponge.
