My dad's birthday card.....

Happy Birthday, Dad!!! His birthday was yesterday, Sept 25.

A little different themed card. I took sentiment from a Father's Day stampset and used it for a father's birthday card. This one seems to work well.

Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Little girl is from The Angel Company, colored with Copics.

The stamped image is mounted on paint chip. I love those large paint chips from Glidden.

Watermelon jelly

Yum!! It is not too sweet. Can't to wait to use in the middle of winter this year.

Canning peaches......

This is what we did one weekend in July with 25 pounds of white peaches ......lots of canning peaches...preserves, spiced peach jam, peach jam, and peach butter.

Sunrise on the way to work......

I cropped it to this.

The actual photograph
I did not alter the photograph at all. These are the colors of the sky. I could not help but take a photo of it. It was a cold morning, too. God's beautiful artwork......

New stove.....

Since we had to buy me a new car ( see our anniversary post ), we were able to see my old car on Craig's list in an hour!!! Five people emailed. Can you believe it? It was like it was meant to be sold.

So, we used that money to buy a much needed new stove. We had been looking for a couple of months for a new stove because our old stove was leaking gas but we couldn't find where it was coming from. My dh changing the connectors where the gas connected to the stove and incoming gas, but that did not help.

Well, after waiting two weeks for our new stove. It came Friday. Best Buy hauled the old one away and Don installed the new.

Guess what? No gas smell. YEAH!!!!

This stove is so nice to cook with already!!!!

More leveling.....

Leveling the stove some more.

Leveling the stove.

The stove top. All burners...

I love this shot....Making sure the broiler works.

The old gas stove. 16 years old...

Our anniversary cake.....

Thank you so much, Flexie, for our anniversary card.

The way our week went..........Car broke down. Cake smoked up the house. Had to get a new car. We needed a laugh. Thank you. You are the best!!

Don tried twice to get the actual cake part right. The cake was a week and half late, but it was so worth it. It was Don's first try at fondant!!! I think he did great with the wrinkled ribbon. Don't you think?

Love tag Swap

I finally am participating in a tag swap..........in Australia ( with some of my scrapbooking friends there ).

I have LOVE. I had to create a tag that epitomizes love to me.

See last photo to see how I made the glittery love word.

What I used to make the glittery "love".
The stamps are all from The Angel Company. The cardstock and ink are from SU!. Pearls are from Michaels. Ribbons are from Offray.

Homemade Chinese food....

I love when we make homemade stir-fry.....

Halloween cards...

I have made several Halloween cards 2 weekends ago.

I grabbed a few $1 themed tapes at AC Moore. I can see how people can get hooked onto Washi tape. :)

I am hooked now......
